TechForge Labs collaborated with GIZ to enhance and modernize a critical Document Management System (DMS) and reporting platform used by government institutions across Bosnia and Herzegovina. This platform facilitates the reporting process to the OECD, streamlining communication and data management across multiple government levels.
The existing platform faced several challenges, including outdated code that impacted its stability and functionality. The user interface and experience (UI/UX) needed significant improvements to meet modern standards and to be accessible to users with varying levels of digital literacy. Additionally, new features were required to better support users in navigating the complex reporting processes involving multiple government levels and institutions. The platform’s inefficiencies led to difficulties in tracking and managing the reporting process, which spans four years and involves various overlapping jurisdictions.
The improvements led to a significantly faster and more accurate reporting process. Government officials praised the platform for its enhanced functionality, user-friendly design, and the ability to easily generate OECD-compliant reports. These upgrades made it easier to track activities and ensure punctual reporting across multiple government levels and institutions, reducing confusion and increasing efficiency.
This project highlights TechForge Labs' expertise in transforming complex, outdated systems into modern, efficient platforms that meet the evolving needs of government institutions. By refactoring code, enhancing UI/UX, introducing powerful new features, and ensuring compliance with international standards, we were able to support Bosnia and Herzegovina’s institutions in their digitalization efforts, ensuring they can report accurately and efficiently to the OECD.
